In-person fundraising

Accept in-person donations the moment someone decides to give.

Lobby kiosks, handheld readers, and phones running the Mobile App. Cashless giving wherever your community gathers.

Four ways to accept donations in person

Take gifts wherever people gather: a lobby, a service, a gala, or a drive. Every one lands in the same ledger as your online giving.

The standout move

A walk-up donor becomes a monthly donor, in one visit

Kiosk giving is not limited to one-time gifts. A donor standing in your lobby can start a recurring plan with a card tap, pick the frequency, and get a receipt by email. Sustainer programs stop being an online-only idea.

  • One-time and recurring on every device
  • Preset Quick Donation amounts or custom entry
  • Automatic confirmation and branded receipt

Device support

Devices you can see, support you can call

The Admin Portal shows your fundraising devices with their status, reader connection, recent activity, campaign assignment, and donation totals by device. Donatefy provides remote setup assistance and troubleshooting, so a quiet kiosk gets noticed and fixed instead of discovered weeks later.

  • Device status and reader-connection visibility
  • Donation totals per device, per campaign

In-person fundraising questions

Planning in-person giving? Read the donation kiosk buyer's guide.

Do we rent in-person giving hardware or own it?
You own it. Kiosks and the S700 and S710 readers are one-time purchases, and the Mobile App runs on phones your team already has. With donations settling into your own Stripe account, no vendor's fate can strand your giving program. Every device we sell comes with a 45-day money-back pilot and Donatefy's one-year warranty, and prices are published on the pricing page.
What happens if a kiosk has a problem on a busy day?
You can see device status and reader connection in the Admin Portal, and Donatefy provides remote troubleshooting and operational support to get devices back up quickly.
Can in-person donors give recurring gifts?
Yes. A donor can start a monthly plan at the kiosk with one card tap, and handheld and Mobile App flows offer the same campaigns and plans.
Do in-person donations get receipts?
Yes. Every channel uses the same automated, branded, tax-ready receipt system. Donors also see their in-person gifts in the Donor Portal next to their online history.
Which plans include in-person giving?
Starter and above. Starter includes 1 device and the Mobile App on 2 phones, Growth includes up to 5 devices and unlimited phones, and Enterprise includes unlimited devices. Kiosks and handheld readers share the device allowance, and phones running the Mobile App never count against it. See plans and pricing.
Can we accept in-person donations away from Wi-Fi?
Yes, with the Stripe Reader S710, which adds 4G LTE. With cellular switched on, it moves to cellular whenever Wi-Fi is unavailable, so it keeps taking gifts at an outdoor drive or an off-site event. Kiosks connect over your building's Wi-Fi and report their status to the Admin Portal.
